The New York Tartan Army Cup – April 10

This year two new teams join the New York Tartan Army and the Scotland Visitors to play for the 4th Annual New York Tartan Army Cup. Teams from Ireland and from the Auld Enemy England will join the Scotland Visitors in attempting to take the cup away from the 2-time champion New York Tartan Army.

First game kicks-off at 5pm with the final at 6.45pm.

New Venue: Nike Field, Sara D Roosevelt Field, between Rivington and Stanton in the Lower East Side.

There will be four teams of 8 players, with 3-5 reserves each.

There will be two semi-finals, a 3rd/4th place match and a Final.

Each game will be 24 minutes long with penalties to decide the winner in the event of a draw.

First game kick off is 5pm.
Each player will agree to pay for the cost of their shirts (provided by soccer.com) plus a fee for the field/refs (approx $40 total each).

Post event party at St. Andrews Bar on the night of Friday April 10, 2009. More details to follow on that.
